ShotClass, ABN 24 840 569 063 (‘we’, ‘our’, and ‘us’) takes protecting your privacy and personal information very seriously as a vital part of our relationship with you, our customers, subscribers, and service providers. Reference here to an ‘event’ means any ShotClass run Cinematography Intensive, Masterclass, Course, Panel or Spotlight (on a service or product) or any other type of event organised, managed and conducted by ShotClass.

Personal Information Data Collection

Subscribers. Participants. Customers. Providers

• We won’t share your information with other event participants, crew or providers, or with third parties for marketing, or for any other reason.
• We won’t sell your data.
• We won’t share any participant or subscriber lists or their preferences with anybody.

We only collect and store the data you provide us so we can identify you and your account bookings, provide you with information and support, and to communicate with you.

Subscribers, we collect only your name and email address to add you to the subscriber list. Additionally, if you provide them, we store your phone number and other details you may choose to tell us about yourself. Email newsletters and campaigns are managed using Campaign Monitor which has a very high level of security where subscriber lists are stored.

Participants (Customers), Bookings for events may be made through a secure Australian-based third-party company, TryBooking P/L, which is a reliable, safe and popular booking service, or alternatively by direct bank deposit to our Bank Australia Account.

As the Event Organiser, we have access to the data you provide on the TryBooking ticket pages at the time of booking, with the important exclusion of any information about how you make payments or any banking or credit card details. To reiterate, ShotClass has no access to, or knowledge of, your payment method details, numbers or passwords. Accessible data may include your name, email address, your booked event information (location, date, time), membership types or student status and any numbers and/or ID’s associated with those and any information provided by you on registration and application forms. Some of this data may be stored by us to contact you in the future or follow up any issues.

If you have followed, liked, or subscribed to any ShotClass social sites or posts, that information is managed by the provider of that site and any personal information collected or seen by us is not shared except in the manner that information may be public on our social media accounts.

Providers, we collect and store information that is publicly available including your name or contact person, phone numbers and addresses, website URLs, email addresses, equipment lists and services, CVs and Resumés, social media profiles, reviews, your Terms and Conditions, policies and other general information relating to your product or service including published fees and costs. Any confidential and privately provided course or class guide, schedule, plan/drawing/image resource, document, crew list, gear list, preference, medical information, service information, security password, pricelist, negotiated cost or fee, and any other private information is stored securely and not shared or discussed with any third-parties outside ShotClass.

Financial Information

ShotClass does not process any payments for events directly with the participant or customer. Direct Debit payments made online are between your financial institution and ours. Ticketing and payment for events may be handled through the secure third-party booking service TryBooking P/L. They are Payment Card Industry (PCI) Compliant and do not store full credit card numbers. ShotClass won’t ask for, collect, or store any credit/debit card information, PayPal or similar other financial transactional information. Funds may need be transferred between you and ShotClass as either a credit or debit using online banking services from your, and our, financial institutions. If you have provided us with BSB and Account information it will be saved only in our bank’s secure server.
