Jaems is an award-winning Australian cinematographer, accredited by the Australian Cinematographers Society. If you’re wondering, yes, that is how Jaems spells his name despite many attempts by auto-correct to change it. Like his name, Jaems takes a different and refreshing approach to cinematography. His passion is hard to contain, not that you’d want to. On a film set or in an Intensive, Jaems gives 110%. For ShotClass participants, he explains his methods and backs them up with perfect examples. He will involve the class to try things out for themselves and discover how those ideas work or could be improved. Jaems will share stories from set with alarming honesty, depicting his successes and failures and how he learned from all of them. There won’t be a shortage of humour, either. By the end of the day, attendees will be buzzing with enthusiasm and armed with useful knowledge, ready to take on their next scene with greater skill and competence.
