A Two-Day Intensive training that will teach you all the skills you need to get started as a professional Camera Assistant, working ‘one-out’ (a.k.a., on your own) while assisting the DP efficiently. Get ahead in your career with professional education… and win more jobs.

What you can expect from the Intensive.

• We will provide a comprehensive introduction to camera assisting, with a mix of theoretical knowledge and the practical skills essential for a successful career working in the Camera Dept.
• Over the two days, we cover all the fundamentals a camera assistant would be expected to know. These include: Introduction to the Digital Cinema Camera, lens handling and management, camera builds, using accessories, focus pulling, data wrangling, gear prep, slating, setting up to shoot a scene, problem solving, working with your crew and much more.
• Top level camera equipment and lenses will be used during the course. Cameras will include ARRI, Canon, Blackmagic URSA and possibly SONY and RED (if available on the day). Lenses will be selected from Zeiss, Cooke, Angenieux, Leitz, Arri and Sigma.
• Accessories will include full camera build components with video split, on-board monitors, video transmitters, remote focus systems to name a few
• Certificate of Completion
