Melbourne-born Alan Vidot is a seasoned cinematographer, drone operator, gaffer, and camera assistant with 20+ years of experience across film, commercial, and music content. With formal training in Art & Design, Photography, and Audio Engineering, his diverse background shapes a strong cinematic eye and technical edge.
Alan has worked across music videos, short films, corporate interviews, and brand promos in roles including director of photography, aerial dop (RePL & ReOC), gaffer, and 1st AC. He also holds a Steadicam Intensive Certificate (Louis Puli, 2007).
His work as aerial dp on the short film Blvck Gold helped propel the film to multiple international recognitions, including selections at the St Kilda Film Festival, Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF), Pan African Film Festival, Silicon Valley Black Film Festival, and the Montreal Black Film Festival.
